The Royal Solwezi Hotel was officially opened by the then Vice President of the Republic of Zambia - the Honourable Rupiah Banda on the 27th of August 2007. Situated along the Old Chingola Road in Solwezi within the North-Western Province of Zambia, The Royal Solwezi Hotel is currently the most prestigious Hotel in the region.
Situated in the outskirts of the booming town of Solwezi, along the Old Chingola Road, The Royal Solwezi Hotel is the only full service hotel in the North West Province. It is just 10km from First Quantum’s Kansanshi Mine, 60km from the Equinox Mineral’s Lumwana Copper Project, and about 15 minutes drive from the airport.
Accommodation comprises 48 rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, queen size beds, private balconies, air conditioning, electronic safes, 15 satellite TV (DSTV) channels (including ZNBC), tea and coffee making facilities, telephones and wireless internet connection.
Conference facilities comprise 2 conference rooms - one seating 15-20 delegates and the other able to hold up to 250 delegates, with standard equipment available.
Wining and Dining facilities include a restaurant, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner (buffet and à la carte menu), and a bar which is open from 10h00 until 23h00 daily. There is also a Sports Bar to cater for the requirements associated with major sporting events.
Other hotel facilities/amenities include wireless internet access available throughout the hotel, a Business Centre, laundry service, room service, secure open parking and a swimming pool. Transfers to and from the airport are available on request.
